Men's Health matters every week, not just this week
For Men's Health Week this year, our staff share their insights and some helpful tips to look after your health. Matua Navigator and Cultural Advisor, Tagaloa Mo'aga Samuelu Teevale, hails from Si'ufaga Faga Faasaleleaga Savaii Samoa. Here's what he has to share with us this week:

What/who inspired you to pursue the career that you're in today?

Tagaloa Su’a inspired me.

Why is it important to highlight men's health not just this week, but every week?

Men's Health Week helps to raise visibility, but the underlying issues don’t follow a calendar. The reason it matters every week comes down to how health works in real life – it's continuous, often unevenly supported, and strongly shaped by habits, environment and access to care.

What are some tips you can give to men especially to look after their health?

  1. Don’t skip regular check ups

  2. Prioritise physical activity

  3. Pay attention to your mental health

  4. Get enough sleep

Any final words of wisdom / anything else you'd like to share?

Your health is one of the most valuable investments you’ll ever make.
