The event was held at St Paul's Trinity Pacific Church and was a reminder of the incredible progress families have made with EPC's support. Attendees enjoyed a day filled with activities for all ages, a lunch, and the opportunity to celebrate their successes from the year.
Whānau Ora Lead at Etu Pasifika, Edna Soli, shared her pride in seeing the community come together.
"It was substantial for EPC to provide a wellness retreat for our families nearing the end of the year. By providing a day of fun, food and fellowship, we were hopefully able to enhance our families wellbeing and connection.
"We wanted to acknowledge their hard journeys so far and to celebrate them; hopefully by restoring a bit of hope for our families to get through to the end of the year."
Reflecting on the purpose of Whānau Ora, Soli added, "Our role is to walk alongside families, providing support as they carve their own paths to success. This day is about taking a moment to look back on the year and realise how far we’ve come together."
EPC's Whānau Ora Day was not just a celebration; it was a testament to the unity and resilience of the Pacific community, with everyone leaving inspired and ready to embrace the upcoming year.
