A huge thank you to the SPACPAC (sPACIFICally Pacific) collective for inviting us to serve as the official first aid providers for the event. We were also honoured to see our Mātua group take center stage, sharing a special performance that highlighted the beauty of Pacific culture.
The day flowed seamlessly, filled with breathtaking performances, Pacific cuisine, and a strong presence of health and community organisations from across the city. Polyfest continues to be a reflection of Christchurch’s rapidly growing Pacific population, with schools travelling from Marlborough, Timaru, Rolleston, and Rangiora to take part in the celebrations.
At our EPC stall, health coaches Steve Lasei and Misimoa Lamositele led interactive activities, engaging with the community and promoting well-being. One lucky student even walked away with a brand-new iPad.
We’re grateful to have played a role in this vibrant event, celebrating our Pacific identity, connecting with families, and supporting the next generation of performers. Until next year, Canterbury Polyfest!
