Previously based in Auckland, she worked in a multidisciplinary setting, supporting patients with a variety of health conditions. Her background in community development with the Hornby community in Canterbury has equipped her with strong local networks, which EPC is eager to leverage to strengthen their reach and support for families.
As she steps into her new role, Satali is eager to make a difference.
"I am most excited to work in a Pacific space alongside other disciplines to provide holistic support as I journey alongside the community to empower them to make positive changes for their health and wellbeing. This role is both thrilling and an exciting opportunity for me."
When asked about her passions in health, she said:
"I am very passionate about nutrition and physical activity. I’m really looking forward to gaining knowledge in the mental health space and learning more from the rest of the team."
With February marking Heart Health Awareness Month, Satali's appointment comes at the perfect time to promote sustainable habits that contribute to improved heart health in our Pacific community. She offers a piece of advice, perfectly aligned with her role.
"Take one step at a time. Set small, achievable goals and aim for sustainable life habits."
EPC is excited to have Satali on board and looks forward to seeing her contribute her expertise and passion to the health and well-being of Canterbury’s Pacific population.
